HISTORY
The venerable Jackson Field and Stream Club was formed in 1929 and has been at its current location since 1972. It is one of the oldest sportsmen's clubs in Pennsylvania. The club grounds include a picnic area, archery range, trap range, 50-meter pistol range, 100-meter rifle range, and 200-meter rifle range for member use. The annual Jackson Field and Stream Club hunting events include a squirrel hunt, rabbit hunt, whitetail buck hunt, and a spring gobbler hunting contest. All animals secured from these hunts are processed for our annual wild game dinner. In addition to our wild game dinner, the Jackson Field and Stream Club hosts an annual pig roast, catered dinner, and member family picnic. Our shooting events are open to the public and include turkey shoots, combat shoots, 22 shoots, women's only shoots, and muzzleloader shoots. The club also collaborates with the Pennsylvania Game Commission to host an annual hunters' safety course and Outdoor Expo. Community-based and oriented, the Jackson Field and Stream Club donates annually to the Helping Hands of Mercer County organization and offers two (male and female) scholarships to area seniors.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Jackson Field & Stream Club fosters a community of outdoor enthusiasts who promote conservation, firearm training, responsible hunting, and sustainable fishing practices. We aim to provide a supportive and educational environment where members can improve their skills, share knowledge, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals while respecting nature and wildlife.
We support and work alongside the Pennsylvania Fish and Game agencies to promote legal and ethical hunting practices that will sustain the state's outdoor resources for generations to come. Additionally, we support community initiatives that provide for local families in their times of need and support all Law Enforcement and First Responders.
